RAYC AGM AND BUFFET LUNCH

requested to note that the AGM will be held on Thu 22 Feb 2018 in the RA Mess at Larkhill commencing at 1130 hours.
The AGM will be followed by the presentation of Committee Awards and RAYC Colours and a Buffet Lunch.
Members planning to attend the AGM are requested to notify the Honorary Secretary by Fri 2nd Feb 2018 and those wishing to attend Lunch are also to

72nd RA Keelboat Regatta

The 72nd RA Keelboat Regatta will be taking place at the Sea View Yacht Club on the
22-23 May 2018. Last year was a superb event and this year will be even better!
29 Cdo took the honours last year so it will be really interesting to see if the Thorney Island Regts can regain the top positions or will
another Regt come forward to show their dominance!

Ex MEDITERRANEAN UBIQUE
St Barbara V Rescues Crew of Yacht Tyger
St Barbara V skippered by the RAYC Commodore, Col Neil Wilson and a crew from 29 Commando Regiment RA
came to the rescue of Yacht Tyger off Les Galletas in the Canary Islands yesterday when Tyger turned turtle after she lost her keel.
Five crew members of the stricken yacht were rescued from the sea without injury and taken aboard St Barbara V. The crew
were taken ashore at Las Galletas. The blog about the incident is

St Barbara V Private Charter
From Canaries and Gibralter
St Barbara V will be deployed on Exercise MEDITERRANEAN UBIQUE between September 2017 and July 2018.
There are opportunities for private members charter, at current rates or as negotiated with the RC(O), at two periods when she is not being used for Adventure Training.
Applications are requested to be directed to the
Rear Commodore Offshore by close of play 01 July 2017 for the Xmas charter and 01 October 17 for the Easter charter.

19RA has a leg on Ex TIGER PACIFIC LONGBOW; 10 - 31 Mar 2018, sailing a C72 from Vancouver to San Diego.
